Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations following established protocols and safety standards
- Position patients and operate MRI equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images
- Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout procedures, applying BLS if necessary
- Collaborate with radiologists and care teams to ensure timely, accurate imaging
- Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures in the medical record
- Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and ongoing skills validation
- Ensure equipment cleanliness, report maintenance issues, and help with quality assurance
Qualifications
- Current MRI technologist certification or state license as required
- BLS certification (required)
- Successful completion of license/certificate verification and facility competency testing
- Ability to pass required health screenings: fit test, drug screen, color vision, vaccinations (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella) and TB screening
- Comfort working overnight shifts and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
Education
- Graduation from an accredited MRI program or radiologic technology program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety principles and patient screening procedures
- Proficiency with MRI pulse sequences, patient positioning, and image optimization
- Familiarity with PACS and image documentation best practices
- Excellent communication skills for patient care and team collaboration
- Attention to detail for performing and documenting specialty competency checklists
