Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations following established protocols and safety standards
• Position patients and operate MRI equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images
• Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout procedures, applying BLS if necessary
• Collaborate with radiologists and care teams to ensure timely, accurate imaging
• Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures in the medical record
• Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and ongoing skills validation
• Ensure equipment cleanliness, report maintenance issues, and help with quality assurance

Qualifications

• Current MRI technologist certification or state license as required
• BLS certification (required)
• Successful completion of license/certificate verification and facility competency testing
• Ability to pass required health screenings: fit test, drug screen, color vision, vaccinations (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella) and TB screening
• Comfort working overnight shifts and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Graduation from an accredited MRI program or radiologic technology program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of MRI safety principles and patient screening procedures
• Proficiency with MRI pulse sequences, patient positioning, and image optimization
• Familiarity with PACS and image documentation best practices
• Excellent communication skills for patient care and team collaboration
• Attention to detail for performing and documenting specialty competency checklists
