Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and respect
• Provide compassionate bedside care and emotional support to patients and families
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and assist with basic hygiene needs
• Document care activities clearly and timely in the patient record
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to promote excellent patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (North Carolina or eligible to obtain NC certification)
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings (including TB and immunization requirements)
• Comfort working in a fast-paced healthcare setting and providing hands-on patient care
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and ADL assistance
• Taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Safe transfer and positioning techniques
• Basic infection control and hygiene practices
• Clear, professional communication with patients and staff
• Time management and prioritization in a clinical setting
