Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise technologists and support staff to deliver high-quality imaging services
• Manage daily staffing and resource allocation to meet productivity and operational goals
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Perform and oversee image quality control and enforcement of departmental policies
• Act as a liaison between patients, families, physicians and departments to solve problems
• Provide education and training to patients, students and staff on imaging procedures
• Monitor departmental performance and report outcomes to leadership
• Support staff development, promote employee satisfaction, and utilize progressive discipline when needed

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by CA Department of Health Services OR ARRT license (required)
• Current CPR certification (required)
• Minimum five years’ experience as a working Diagnostic Technologist in an acute-care setting
• At least two years of supervisory experience in an acute-care setting (required)
• Prior supervisory/managerial experience (3–5 years) is desired
• Certification in a specialized area (NMTBC, MRI, or similar) is a plus
• Demonstrated leadership ability, strong communication and problem-solving skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of radiographic exposure principles, positioning and patient care
• Familiarity with Joint Commission, ACR, Title 17 & 22 survey/compliance standards
• Expertise in quality assurance, image quality control, radiation physics and protection
• Ability to evaluate departmental workflows and recommend resource allocation
• Strong interpersonal skills for interdepartmental communication and staff coaching
• Comfort educating patients, families, students and clinical staff
