Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients in the McAuley Center
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
• Perform patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the medical record
• Collaborate with nursing colleagues and interdisciplinary team members to support patient goals
• Follow infection control protocols and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
• Participate in required competency testing and skills checklists to maintain clinical readiness
• Complete required health screenings and maintain up-to-date immunizations and fit test status

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license in the state of Connecticut (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Successful License/Certificate verification as part of onboarding
• Ability to complete Trinity specialty competency testing and Trinity skills checklist
• Must pass required health screenings: 2-step PPD or IGRA, fit test, drug screen, and immunizations (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, influenza)
• Clear background and ability to meet facility health and safety requirements

Education

• Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program or equivalent diploma

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Comfortable using electronic health records and documenting care
• Knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Ability to work independently in a per diem pool while collaborating with the team
• Familiarity with Trinity specialty competency processes and respirator evaluation
• Good communication, time management, and patient-centered care approach
