Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care as an LPN in a long-term care setting
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to facility policy
- Perform routine assessments and report changes in resident condition to the care team
- Document resident care and medication administration clearly and promptly in the record
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Adhere to infection control, immunization, and screening requirements to keep residents safe
Qualifications
- Active LPN license (ability to hold/obtain NC licensure required for assignments in North Carolina)
- Current verification of required immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza
- Completed Trinity 10 Panel drug screen and a recent physical/health statement as required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with residents and the care team
- Previous long-term care or per diem nursing experience is a plus
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program or equivalent vocational nursing certificate
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Knowledge of infection prevention and immunization protocols
- Proficient documentation and charting practices
- Ability to perform resident assessments and report changes effectively
- Teamwork, time management, and resident-focused care planning
