Roles & Responsibilities

• Assure patients receive safe, effective drug therapy by reviewing and verifying medication orders
• Manage drug distribution systems including unit dose and IV admixtures to maintain continuity of care
• Provide clinical pharmacy services and consult with care teams to optimize therapeutic outcomes
• Teach and mentor pharmacy staff, students, and interdisciplinary colleagues to elevate practice
• Perform administrative duties and ensure compliance with State and Federal laws and facility policies
• Lead or participate in pharmacy research and quality improvement projects that improve patient care
• Use hospital computer systems to document clinical interventions and maintain accurate medication records
• Communicate clearly with patients and care teams to support medication education and adherence

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license (state licensure required) and ability to obtain VT credentials as needed
• Hospital pharmacy experience required — must have experience beyond retail practice
• Hands-on experience with unit dose systems and IV admixtures
• Comfortable with technical pharmacy practice and hospital drug distribution workflows
• Strong computer skills and experience using pharmacy/hospital information systems
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to participate in teaching and research activities
