Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room for vascular and endovascular procedures
• Support the team during high-acuity Level I trauma cases, acting with speed and precision
• Prepare the OR, instruments, and equipment for complex vascular procedures
• Monitor patients intraoperatively and contribute to safe handoffs and clear documentation
• Respond to call rotations and deliver high-quality care during nights, weekends and holidays when needed
• Maintain high ratings on skills checklists by demonstrating clinical excellence and attention to detail
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential (OR RN experience required)
• Prior travel nurse experience in a large Level I trauma facility — please note this in your work history
• Strong vascular/endovascular perioperative experience
• Availability for call, holidays, and weekend coverage
• High skills checklist ratings (facility requires strong ratings across key competencies)
• Willingness to upload complete demographic info and a badge-appropriate photo during processing

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Operating Room (OR) procedures and perioperative nursing best practices
• Vascular and endovascular case workflows and instrumentation
• Trauma care principles specific to Level I trauma centers
• Ability to function effectively under high-acuity, fast-paced conditions
• Excellent intraoperative documentation and communication skills
• Adaptability to travel assignments and variable schedules
