Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care for adult and geriatric patients across MS-Tele and specialty units
• Monitor cardiac telemetry, interpret rhythms and escalate changes in patient condition promptly
• Safely titrate heparin drips per protocol and collaborate with providers on critical interventions
• Float between facilities within Zone 1 as assigned, adapting quickly to different unit workflows
• Document thoroughly and efficiently in EPIC to ensure continuity of care
• Support unit charge nurses and assist with patient assignments when needed, especially on night shift
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams (RT, CNAs, providers) to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain patient safety and clinical competency across a range of diagnoses from cardiac and neuro to oncology and post-op care

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license (able to submit license for credentialing)
• Minimum 2 years of MS-Telemetry nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS (AHA) required; NIHSS required
• Experience with EPIC charting strongly preferred
• Comfortable with 12-hour night shifts and floating across facilities within a 60-mile zone
• Familiarity with heparin titration and basic ventilator supports (CPAP/BiPAP) is a plus
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain housing that allows floating throughout the zone
• Willingness to complete orientation week in-state

Education

• Active RN license (Associate degree or Nursing Diploma accepted) — BSN not required
• Completion of required certifications (BLS, ACLS, NIHSS) prior to start

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Acute care nursing for adult and geriatric populations
• Heparin drip titration and vasoactive drip basics
• Experience across specialties: Neuro, Cardiac, Oncology, Renal, Ortho and Trauma
• Comfortable using EPIC for charting and communication
• Ability to manage 1:5-6 nurse:patient ratios and prioritize care by acuity
• Adaptability to Just-In-Time (JIT) assignments and float-pool dynamics
• Basic respiratory support familiarity (Vent/CPAP/BiPAP)
