Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate in the Operating Room as a confident RN circulator, coordinating care and keeping cases running smoothly
• Provide focused PACU care—monitoring, assessing, and supporting patients as they recover from anesthesia
• Manage ortho trauma and crani/craniotomy cases independently when needed, delivering high-acuity nursing with calm and competence
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and scrub staff to ensure top-tier patient safety and outcomes
• Operate and support specialty equipment (DaVinci, Mazor, fracture and Jackson beds, robotics) and ensure proper setup and documentation
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech and communicate changes proactively to the care team
• Work as a team player under pressure—help triage, prioritize, and keep patient ratios at 1:1 when required

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the required state
• Minimum 2 years of relevant RN experience (as stated in the posting)
• OR circulator experience required; scrub experience is a plus
• Strong experience with ortho trauma and ability to function independently with crani/craniotomy cases
• BLS certification required; additional advanced certifications welcomed
• Comfortable using Meditech EMR and familiar with OR/robotic systems (DaVinci, Mazor) is a strong advantage

Knowledge & Skills

• Operating Room workflows and PACU post-anesthesia care
• Ortho trauma procedures and instrumentation
• Crani/craniotomy case management and intraoperative familiarity
• Robotic systems (DaVinci), Mazor navigation, and general OR robotics knowledge
• Meditech electronic medical record proficiency
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and teamwork under pressure
