Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate patient care in the Cardiac Cath Lab, prioritizing patient comfort and outcomes
• Assist physicians and the cath lab team during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
• Monitor and document patient hemodynamics and responses throughout procedures and recovery
• Prepare procedural equipment, maintain sterile technique, and ensure all safety protocols are followed
• Communicate clearly with patients and families, providing education and emotional support
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize throughput and patient flow

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure (state requirements apply; compact license often accepted) — your nursing credential is essential
• 2+ years of recent clinical experience (Cardiac Cath Lab experience strongly preferred)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Prior cath lab or interventional cardiology experience, including familiarity with cath lab workflow
• Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm during high-acuity procedures

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred when possible.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures, monitoring, and post-procedure care
• Skill in invasive monitoring, hemodynamic assessment, and EKG interpretation
• Proficiency with sterile technique, cath lab instrumentation, and procedural prep
• Clear documentation skills and comfort using electronic medical records
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced procedural environment
