Shift Type: Variable: Primarily 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (days vary); ambulatory clinic coverage Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; shared 24-hour on-call coverage for the hospital with approximately 1 night per week on-call and 1 weekend on-call per month (rotating day/on-call schedule).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Set up and operate EEG equipment for inpatient and outpatient studies with precision
• Perform ambulatory, long-term/video, portable recording and sleep EEG studies
• Check, operate and calibrate electromyographic and EEG equipment following standard procedures
• Document findings and maintain accurate Epic charting for seamless clinical continuity
• Communicate results and collaborate with Neuro providers to support patient care decisions
• Cover shared on-call duties and respond to inpatient needs across pediatric and adult populations
• Support procedural flow in a Magnet, Level II Trauma acute hospital setting

Qualifications

• REEGT certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• Minimum ~2 years of EEG tech experience (per job posting)
• Comfortable with pediatric through geriatric patient populations
• Experience with ambulatory and inpatient EEG, long-term/video monitoring, portable recording and sleep EEG
• Proficient charting experience (Epic preferred/required)
• Able to participate in shared on-call coverage (including nights and ~1 weekend/month)
• Candidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility (locals not accepted)
• First-timers accepted — open to clinicians starting travel/contract assignments

Knowledge & Skills

• Operation and calibration of EEG and electromyographic equipment
• Ambulatory EEG workflows and patient instructions
• Long-term/video monitoring setup and troubleshooting
• Portable recording procedures and sleep EEG techniques
• Strong Epic/EHR charting skills and clinical documentation
• Clear communication with neurologists and interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage on-call responsibilities and prioritize urgent studies
