Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate care for critically ill oncology and BMT patients in a 10-bed ICU unit
• Manage ventilators, BiPAP patients and perform tracheostomy care with confidence
• Titrate IV drips safely and accurately, following unit protocols and collaborative orders
• Operate and monitor advanced equipment including CRRT, A-lines and infusion pumps
• Document patient care thoroughly and efficiently in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate closely with physicians, interdisciplinary teams and family members to drive excellent patient outcomes
• Practice total care—turning, dressing changes, and vigilant assessment of rapidly changing conditions

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with active RN licensure (able to work in Texas)
• Minimum 1 year ICU experience (strong ICU experience required)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• Demonstrated experience with ventilator management, BiPAP and titrating drips
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• CRRT and transplant (kidney/pancreas/liver) experience are strong pluses
• Comfortable working rotating weekends and within ICU teams

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and BiPAP support
• Drip titration and vasoactive medication management
• Tracheostomy care and total care of critically ill patients
• Familiarity with CRRT and advanced hemodynamic monitoring (A-line, Flow-track)
• Proficient documentation in Meditech EMR
• Strong critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills in high-acuity settings
