Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures using CT and related imaging equipment (including GE Discovery systems)
• Operate EMR (Meditech) to document exams, maintain images and communicate findings
• Prepare patients for imaging studies, ensuring safety, comfort, and correct positioning
• Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain strict infection control practices
• Collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to support diagnostic accuracy
• Maintain imaging equipment and escalate technical issues promptly to minimize downtime
• Provide clear, compassionate patient education and post-procedure instructions
• Work independently while adapting to variable patient volumes and urgent cases

Qualifications

• BLS — required
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) — required
• Minimum 2 years of CT imaging experience (as listed in the job)
• ACLS preferred but not required
• RT (T), ASRT, FASRT certifications are desirable
• Experience with GE Discovery 450 or similar CT platforms preferred
• Comfortable working 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends
• Strong critical thinking skills and proven ability to work independently

Knowledge & Skills

• CT scanning protocols and cross-sectional imaging techniques
• Familiarity with MRI and X-Ray imaging fundamentals
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR workflows and electronic documentation
• Experience with GE Discovery 450 or comparable equipment
• Radiation safety principles and patient dose optimization
• Patient positioning and contrast administration basics
• Image reconstruction and basic post-processing
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, 24/7 clinical environment
• Team collaboration with radiologists, nurses and ancillary staff
