Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage ventilators and provide advanced ventilator management to critically ill patients
• Perform and interpret ABGs and provide timely, accurate adjustments to respiratory plans
• Assist with intubations and provide skilled airway support during procedures
• Deliver nebulizer treatments, CPT, Metaneb and IPPB therapies to improve patient outcomes
• Document care thoroughly in Meditech and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
• Provide compassionate respiratory care across all age ranges with excellent customer service
• Troubleshoot respiratory equipment, including familiarity with Servo I ventilators and point-of-care testing

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2+ years of hospital respiratory experience with ICU, NICU or ED exposure
• Demonstrated ability to draw and analyze ABGs
• Experience with ventilator management and assisting with intubations
• Familiarity with Servo I ventilators, I-Stat, and Meditech is preferred
• Strong patient communication and customer-service skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced ventilator management and ventilator troubleshooting
• Arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and interpretation
• Airway management and intubation assistance
• Nebulizer therapy, CPT, Metaneb, and IPPB treatments
• Documentation in Meditech and use of point-of-care devices like I-Stat
• Care across the lifespan — neonates through adults
• Team communication, prioritization, and patient-centered bedside care
