Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage oncology and infusion patients through examination, treatment planning, consultation, and follow-up
• Perform and document patient assessments and coordinate appropriate referrals
• Order and interpret labs and imaging to support clinical decisions
• Participate in and help drive patient satisfaction programs
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance safety and care standards
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary team members to deliver integrated care
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, side-effect management, and follow-up care

Qualifications

• For Nurse Practitioners: active AOCNP certification and certification by ANCC or AANP
• Minimum of two (2) years oncology subspecialty experience required for NPs
• For Physician Assistants: NCCPA certification and PA-C credential; oncology-specific certification preferred
• Active DEA registration required
• Unrestricted Colorado license required; compact license holders eligible if it permits practice in Colorado
• Must obtain APN (Advanced Practice Nurse) and RXN (prescriptive authority) licenses in Colorado where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Oncology patient management and outpatient oncology clinic workflows
• Infusion therapy management and infusion patient care
• Clinical examination, treatment planning, and consultation best practices
• Ordering and interpreting labs and imaging with appropriate clinical judgment
• Patient-centered communication and experience with patient satisfaction programs
• Participation in quality improvement and safety initiatives
