Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
Assist with safe transfers and mobility support while following facility protocols
Keep accurate and timely documentation in the patient chart
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
Support residents emotionally by listening, engaging, and encouraging independence

Qualifications

Current state CNA certification in Connecticut
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Compassionate bedside manner and commitment to resident dignity and safety

Education

State CNA certification required
High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamentals of resident care and infection control practices
Basic vital signs assessment and documentation
Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Familiarity with long term care workflows and electronic charting basics
Good observational skills with attention to detail
