Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the med/surg unit
Assess, monitor, and document patient status and respond to changes
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Escalate concerns and communicate clearly with physicians and leadership

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (Georgia RN or applicable compact license accepted)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications such as ACLS preferred
Clinical experience on Med/Surg unit preferred (1+ year recommended)
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to work rotating 12.5-hour shifts and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of med/surg nursing principles and patient care protocols
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation practices
Proven ability to prioritize care and manage multiple patients safely
Good clinical judgment, attention to detail, and infection control practices
Compassionate bedside manner and strong patient/family education skills
