Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care on a medical-surgical unit caring for urology, gynecology, orthopedics, medicine, surgery, trauma, ENT and vascular patients
• Document assessments, interventions and patient progress accurately and timely in EPIC (EPIC proficiency is required)
• Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists and multidisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Perform thorough patient assessments, implement care plans and evaluate outcomes
• Maintain patient safety and contribute to quality improvement efforts on the unit
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist with post-operative care and recovery
• Communicate clearly with patients and families to educate and support them through their stay

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with Nursys license verification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty (medical-surgical focus) as stated in the job posting
• EPIC experience required — please note EPIC proficiency in your profile

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medical-surgical clinical assessment and patient management skills
• Experience caring for patients across urology, gynecology, orthopedics, medicine, surgery, trauma, ENT and vascular populations
• Proficient use of EPIC for documentation and care coordination
• Excellent communication, critical thinking and prioritization abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based hospital environment
• Commitment to maintaining certifications and meeting credentialing requirements
