Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiography, CT, and mammography exams including screening, diagnostic, stereotactic breast biopsy and specimen radiography with a focus on patient-centered care
• Operate and manage contrast administration and automatic injector protocols, adjusting for pediatric and geriatric patients as needed
• Assist with interventional procedures and maintain sterile technique when required
• Maintain quality assurance and perform daily/weekly QC to ensure imaging accuracy and safety
• Document and maintain accurate patient records and radiology files in accordance with ACR/FDA and facility requirements
• Transfer and care for patients across the lifespan, exercising sound clinical judgment and radiation protection principles
• Participate in continuing education, maintain required competencies, and support department process improvement
• Assist with supply inventory, ordering, and general departmental upkeep

Qualifications

• Current ARRT in Radiography (required)
• BLS (American Heart Association) — required within 45 days of start
• Clinical Competency Assessment — required within 3 months of hire and every three years
• Able to perform diagnostic exams for assigned modalities and meet ACR/FDA mammography documentation requirements
• Experience or competency in mammography (including stereotactic biopsy and specimen radiography) and CT
• Willingness to rotate shifts, take call, and travel to other SEARHC sites as needed

Education

• Current ARRT in Radiography (required)
• Additional ARRT or ARDMS certifications in modalities (CT, MR, MG, NM, RVT, RDCS) are preferred

• Image acquisition and quality assurance
• Radiation protection and safety
• Patient care across the lifespan and safe patient transfer
• Contrast administration and automatic injector operation
• Mammography, CT, and diagnostic radiography
• Familiarity with ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and teleradiology transmission
• Venipuncture and sterile technique
• Interventional procedure support and equipment care
• Record maintenance and regulatory compliance (ACR/FDA)
