Shift Type: Day shifts (exact start/end times vary; full-time and part-time opportunities; primarily weekdays; may work across inpatient, swing bed, outpatient, and skilled nursing based on patient needs)

Bill Rate: $55.51-$79.14/hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients thoroughly and develop individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans
Provide skilled physical therapy interventions across inpatient, swing bed, outpatient, and skilled nursing settings
Document patient care accurately and timely in the EMR in accordance with regulations
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
Educate patients and families to support safe discharge and continued recovery
Apply strong clinical reasoning to adapt plans for diverse diagnoses and patient needs
Maintain compliance with all California and federal PT regulations and facility policies

Qualifications

Active California Physical Therapy License in good standing
Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum of 1+ year of experience in acute care, swing bed/skilled nursing, or outpatient settings
Proficiency with EMR systems and general computer skills
Strong clinical reasoning, documentation, communication, and problem-solving abilities

Education

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in physical therapy evaluation and treatment across multiple care settings
Clinical documentation and EMR proficiency
Excellent clinical reasoning and patient assessment skills
Ability to manage diverse patient populations with varied diagnoses
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and commitment to professional growth
