Roles & Responsibilities

Assess patients’ functional abilities and needs using professional clinical judgment
Develop individualized treatment plans to improve independence and quality of life
Provide skilled OT interventions across inpatient, swing bed, outpatient and skilled nursing settings
Document evaluations, progress and plans thoroughly in the EMR
Manage a diverse caseload independently and prioritize patient safety and outcomes
Collaborate with physicians, nurses and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
Educate patients and families on strategies, home programs and adaptive equipment

Qualifications

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
Active California Occupational Therapist License in good standing
Current AHA Healthcare Provider BLS certification
2-3 years of experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or outpatient settings
Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with EMR documentation and general computer use

Education

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (accredited program)

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and functional evaluation
Treatment planning and rehabilitation interventions
EMR documentation and caseload management
Experience in acute care, skilled nursing, outpatient and rehabilitation settings
Patient-centered care approach and strong analytical thinking
Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team

Benefits

Full-time sign-on bonus: $10,000
Part-time sign-on bonus: $5,000
13-step clinical pay scale with progression up to 30 years of service
