Roles & Responsibilities

Provide patient-centered Med/Surg care for a mixed adult population on a 30-bed unit
Assess, monitor, and document patient condition and responses to treatment
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate excellent care
Respond promptly to changes in patient status and escalate concerns as needed
Maintain clear, timely charting and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
Support unit workflow while respecting patient dignity and comfort

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience
Experience in Level 1 trauma or mid-to-large hospital settings (explicitly required)
Med/Surg patient care experience
BLS certification required
ACLS certification preferred
Positive attitude, punctuality, and strong teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Med/Surg assessment and intervention skills
Medication administration and IV care
Clinical judgment in a 5-6:1 patient ratio environment
Clear, timely documentation and handoff communication
Infection control and patient safety practices
Ability to function well in a fast-paced, team-oriented unit
