Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and needs using evidence-based assessment tools
• Develop individualized treatment plans that promote independence and quality of life
• Deliver skilled occupational therapy interventions across inpatient, outpatient, swing bed and skilled nursing settings
• Document assessments, plans and progress clearly and promptly in the EMR
• Manage a diverse caseload with clinical judgment and prioritization
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care
• Provide patient and family education to support safe transitions and home programming
• Participate in continuous quality improvement and professional development activities

Qualifications

• Active California Occupational Therapist License in good standing
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider BLS certification
• 2–3 years of experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or outpatient settings preferred
• Proficiency with EMR documentation and common computer tools
• Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to independently manage a diverse caseload with compassionate, patient-centered care
• Compliance with California OT regulatory requirements

Education

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (from an accredited institution)
