Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and needs using evidence-based assessment tools
- Develop individualized treatment plans that promote independence and quality of life
- Deliver skilled occupational therapy interventions across inpatient, outpatient, swing bed and skilled nursing settings
- Document assessments, plans and progress clearly and promptly in the EMR
- Manage a diverse caseload with clinical judgment and prioritization
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care
- Provide patient and family education to support safe transitions and home programming
- Participate in continuous quality improvement and professional development activities
Qualifications
- Active California Occupational Therapist License in good standing
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Current AHA Healthcare Provider BLS certification
- 2–3 years of experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or outpatient settings preferred
- Proficiency with EMR documentation and common computer tools
- Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to independently manage a diverse caseload with compassionate, patient-centered care
- Compliance with California OT regulatory requirements
Education
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (from an accredited institution)
