Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide patient care following adopted clinical protocols under physician supervision
- Assess patients and make informed recommendations for treatment initiation and changes
- Collaborate with supervising physicians for assistance and consultation on complex cases
- Document patient encounters clearly and maintain accurate medical records
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team to ensure excellent care
- Participate in clinic workflow and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Current California Physician Assistant License (required)
- Current NCCPA certification (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) (required)
- Current AHA BLS or ACLS certification (required)
- Training at an Accredited Physician Assistant Program (required)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a clinic setting
Education
- Graduation from an Accredited Physician Assistant Program
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with clinical protocols and standards of care
- Proficient patient assessment and medical decision-making
- Ability to initiate and adjust treatments under physician supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills and clear, compassionate patient communication
- Competence in documentation and basic clinic workflows
