Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor patients continuously using telemetry systems and promptly report abnormalities
- Recognize and escalate arrhythmias and other critical cardiac events to nursing and providers
- Perform accurate documentation of alarms, events, and interventions in the patient record
- Collaborate with nursing and the care team to support patient safety and timely interventions
- Complete required competency exams and specialty skill checklists to maintain readiness
- Adhere to infection control, fit testing, and occupational health requirements to keep everyone safe
Qualifications
- Current BLS certification (required)
- DCI/BVP certification (required)
- Active license/certification verification as applicable for Monitor Technicians
- Ability to complete Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam
- Must meet occupational health requirements: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB testing, Hepatitis B, influenza vaccine, Varicella, Tdap, and drug screening
- Comfort working rotating night shifts and availability for required strike dates (02/18/2026 - 02/19/2026)
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of a Monitor Technician program or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong telemetry/monitoring system familiarity and ECG rhythm recognition
- Excellent observational skills for detecting patient changes
- Clear, professional communication with nurses and providers
- Basic troubleshooting of monitoring equipment and alarm management
- Ability to follow protocols, document accurately, and complete competency testing
