Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform CT and MRI procedures accurately and compassionately, following established protocols
- Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment, calling service engineers when necessary
- Demonstrate advanced radiographic skills including X-ray, fluoroscopy, C-arm, and OR imaging
- Ensure radiation safety practices are followed, adhering to ALARA principles
- Maintain accurate patient records in the EHR and assist with procedural documentation
- Provide clear patient education about procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation and comfort
- Assist with clerical duties, patient transport, and cross-train or train imaging staff as required
- Support departmental quality initiatives and comply with regulatory and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- ARRT registration in Radiology (R) with CT and MRI certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or obtain within 90 days of hire
- Preferred: Two years of experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist with CT and MRI
- Preferred: Cross-training or experience in DEXA and Mammography
- Experience with PACS, RIS, and HIS electronic record systems
- Must be at least 18 years of age, legally authorized to work in the U.S., and able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency performing CT procedures and MRI protocols
- Skilled in X-ray, fluoroscopy, C-arm, and OR imaging workflows
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
- Comfortable operating and maintaining imaging equipment per manufacturer guidelines
- Experience with EHR, PACS, RIS, and HIS systems
- Excellent patient care, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate service calls
