Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Emergency and Respiratory Therapy departments with hands-on leadership
- Oversee personnel, including hiring support, performance oversight and constructive coaching
- Coordinate staff scheduling based on patient acuity to ensure safe, high-quality care
- Maintain and monitor staffing records, statistics and performance metrics
- Take 24-hour accountability for departmental fiscal, material and personnel resources
- Lead and support the team during high-acuity events and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to optimize patient flow and departmental outcomes
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered California RN license required
- Current AHA BLS, PALS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum two years of progressive Emergency Department experience
- Proven experience in department management, staff supervision and scheduling
- Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory aspects of Emergency Room nursing
Education
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

- Emergency nursing clinical expertise and best practices
- Emergency Room techniques and departmental management
- Staff scheduling, personnel management and team leadership
- Fiscal and material resource management
- Respiratory therapy department coordination
- Familiarity with staffing metrics and record keeping
