Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, triage and prioritize patients in the emergency department with speed and compassion
• Provide high-quality Med/Surg nursing care when assigned to inpatient units
• Administer treatments, medications and interventions safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and the care team to develop and carry out patient plans
• Document assessments and care thoroughly and timely
• Participate in Trinity-specific competency testing and skills checklists to maintain excellence
• Support a positive patient and family experience through clear communication and empathy

Qualifications

• Active RN license with verification required prior to start
• Experience in both Emergency Nursing and Medical-Surgical Nursing required
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications required
• Completion of Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist as part of onboarding
• Must meet health and screening requirements including fit test, drug screen, vaccinations and TB testing

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong triage and emergency assessment skills
• Comfortable managing acute, high-acuity patients and rapid decision-making
• Skilled in Med/Surg nursing fundamentals and continuity of care
• Competent in advanced life support protocols and stroke assessment (NIHSS)
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented documentation and adherence to competency standards
