Candidate Pay Rate: $33 - $23.1 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms following established infection control protocols
- Welcome and seat patients, preparing them for procedures with care and clear communication
- Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and anticipating needs
- Select, mix, and place dental materials and fabricate temporary restorations as directed
- Take and develop radiographs and assist with study casts including pouring and trimming
- Clean and polish removable appliances and provide post-operative instructions
- Chart and document patient care accurately to maintain thorough records
- Support emergency preparedness by maintaining CPR certification and ensuring supplies are available
- Protect patient confidentiality and comply with privacy and safety regulations
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment and participate in continuing education
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program OR a minimum of 6 months hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant
- Current CPR certification required
- Certified Dental Assistant (DANB) required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused mindset
- High attention to detail, good organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a busy clinical setting
Education
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program OR equivalent on-the-job experience (minimum 6 months)
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and infection control protocols
- Ability to take and develop dental radiographs
- Skill mixing and handling dental materials and fabricating temporary restorations
- Excellent customer service and effective patient education techniques
- Comfortable charting and documenting accurately in patient records
- Teamwork orientation and willingness to support clinical and administrative tasks
