Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation with professionalism and patient-centered care
• Operate CT and X-ray equipment safely, including set up and operation of automatic injectors and contrast administration per protocol
• Maintain patient records, documentation, and quality assurance activities to support accurate diagnosis and compliance
• Assist with interventional procedures, sterile technique, and preparation of the procedure area as needed
• Participate in daily/weekly quality control and equipment care to ensure dependable imaging services
• Transfer and care for patients safely and compassionately across age groups from newborn to geriatric
• Rotate shifts and cross-train in additional imaging modalities as requested by management to support department needs
• Communicate and consult with referring physicians and participate in tele-radiology transmission when required

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (required)
• Clinical competency to be achieved within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years
• Ability to perform diagnostic exams relevant to CT and X-ray modalities
• Willingness to take call and report to work within 20 minutes
• Comfortable working across modalities (XR, CT, MRI, Mammography) and learning new skills
• Additional ARRT certifications (CT, MR, MG, NM) or ARDMS credentials are a plus

Education

• Current ARRT (Radiography) certification (required)
• Clinical competency demonstrated within 3 months of hire and ongoing competency every three years

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of radiation protection principles and patient safety
• Experience or competency in CT imaging protocols, contrast administration, and automatic injector use
• Skill in venipuncture and sterile technique for interventional support
• Familiarity with teleradiology transmission and PACS workflow
• Quality assurance and quality control practices for imaging equipment
• Good patient communication, assessment, and documentation skills across the lifespan
• Ability to adapt protocols for pediatric and geriatric patients and modify routines as needed
