Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee the Radiology program and ensure smooth daily operations
- Track radiology studies to verify they are properly submitted and reported
- Provide PACS training and support to staff to optimize workflow
- Ensure radiology equipment is maintained, inspected, and compliant with regulations
- Lead and enforce quality assurance and quality control activities
- Manage the radiation protection monitoring program to keep staff safe
- Supervise radiology staff, perform timely evaluations, and ensure competencies
- Create and maintain radiology policies, procedures, and documentation
- Collaborate with clinic administrators and medical directors to uphold quality care
- Perform radiologic exams within your scope of qualification and competency
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology
- Registered Radiological Technologist (ARRT) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Registered Mammographer preferred
- Registered Ultrasound Technologist preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Radiology Management and supervision
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist
- PACS training required; experience with digitized imaging systems
- CT and MRI technologist experience preferred
- Proven supervisory experience and strong communication skills
Education
- Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology
Knowledge & Skills
- Radiology management and program oversight
- PACS operation and training
- Quality assurance / quality control in imaging
- Radiation safety and regulatory compliance
- Radiologic exams and equipment maintenance
- Familiarity with MQSA and federal/state accreditation requirements
- Comfort working in multiple computer systems and documenting medical information
- Ability to write policies, manuals, and structured reports
- Strong oral and written communication and team-building skills
