Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients to identify functional limitations and develop individualized care plans
- Design and implement therapeutic programs using assistive devices and evidence-based techniques
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to maximize functional potential
- Collaborate with physicians, rehabilitation staff, and caregivers to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families on strategies to improve daily living and safety
- Document assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately and timely
- Ensure practice aligns with the State Practice Act and facility policies
Qualifications
- Current CA Occupational Therapist License required
- Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
- Familiarity with the State Practice Act and regulatory requirements
- Comfort working full time on day shifts and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and patient education skills
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient evaluation and developing treatment plans
- Experienced with therapeutic procedures and assistive devices
- Ability to implement patient-centered interventions that improve function
- Proficient documentation and clinical reasoning skills
