Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional intraoperative nursing care as both scrub and circulating RN during surgical procedures
• Maintain strict sterile technique to protect patient safety and surgical site integrity
• Prepare and organize surgical instrumentation and supplies for a smooth operative flow
• Monitor patients’ physiologic status throughout the intraoperative phase and promptly escalate concerns
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to ensure efficient, patient-centered care
• Document nursing care and patient status accurately in the medical record
• Participate in the call rotation, providing reliable coverage for evenings and weekends as assigned

Qualifications

• Active CO RN license or Compact RN license in good standing (required)
• BLS (American Heart Association) required
• ACLS (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant perioperative nursing experience
• Up-to-date seasonal flu vaccination (proof required)
• Comfortable functioning in both scrub and circulating roles; please provide a skills sheet with submission

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong intraoperative and perioperative nursing knowledge
• Proficient in sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Skilled in intraoperative patient monitoring and assessment
• Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and manage OR workflow
• Good communication and teamwork skills under pressure
• Experience with call rotations, including evening and weekend coverage
