Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and compassion
• Support nursing team by taking vital signs, documenting observations, and reporting changes promptly
• Provide safe and respectful mobility assistance, transfers and positioning
• Help create a comfortable environment — tidy rooms, restock supplies, and respond to call bells
• Build trusting relationships through clear communication and patient-centered care
• Follow infection control policies and maintain patient safety at all times

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Minimum direct care experience preferred (facility will confirm expectations)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and able to manage physical demands of patient care

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and patient hygiene
• Proficient with basic clinical documentation and reporting
• Skilled at taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection prevention and patient safety standards
• Compassionate bedside manner and effective communication with patients and families
• Ability to work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary teams
