Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and compassion
- Support nursing team by taking vital signs, documenting observations, and reporting changes promptly
- Provide safe and respectful mobility assistance, transfers and positioning
- Help create a comfortable environment — tidy rooms, restock supplies, and respond to call bells
- Build trusting relationships through clear communication and patient-centered care
- Follow infection control policies and maintain patient safety at all times
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Minimum direct care experience preferred (facility will confirm expectations)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage physical demands of patient care
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and patient hygiene
- Proficient with basic clinical documentation and reporting
- Skilled at taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of infection prevention and patient safety standards
- Compassionate bedside manner and effective communication with patients and families
- Ability to work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary teams
