Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Safely assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to promote patient comfort and safety
- Accurately document care, observations, and changes in patient condition in the chart
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Follow individualized care plans and facility policies to ensure high-quality care
- Maintain infection control, safety standards, and a clean, welcoming environment for residents
Qualifications
- Current LNA certification (Class T-LNA) — required
- Comfortable working night shifts and providing weekend coverage as scheduled
- Previous direct care experience in long-term care, assisted living, or similar settings preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a care team
- Valid identification and ability to complete facility onboarding and background checks
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved LNA training program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in ADLs, toileting, bathing, grooming, and feeding assistance
- Knowledge of basic infection control practices and patient safety protocols
- Basic charting and documentation skills with attention to detail
- Ability to recognize and report changes in patient condition promptly
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care environment
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
