Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate overnight bedside care to residents — you’ll be the calm, steady presence during the night
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and important observations accurately
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the resident chart and communicate changes to the nursing team
• Ensure resident safety by observing infection control protocols and keeping the environment secure
• Support admissions, transfers, and discharges during your shift as needed
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care every night

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (Class: CNA) — required
• Active CNA registration or eligibility to register in New Mexico
• Local candidates only (position is LOCAL ONLY)
• Comfortable working overnight 12.5-hour shifts and able to manage physical aspects of resident care
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude
• BLS/CPR certification preferred (if not current, assistance may be available)

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven ability to provide safe, respectful bedside care
• Skillful in taking and recording vital signs and observing clinical changes
• Familiarity with infection control and proper PPE use
• Good documentation and charting practices
• Teamwork mindset and clear communication with nurses and interdisciplinary staff
• Ability to stay organized and calm during busy overnight hours
