Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Monitor and record vital signs and resident observations accurately and promptly
• Support safe transfers and mobility while promoting resident independence
• Communicate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members about changes in resident status
• Assist with meal service, feeding, and hydration while respecting dietary needs
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — New Mexico preferred
• Prior experience in long-term care or rehab settings is a plus but enthusiasm and strong bedside manner matter most
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Local candidates only (this is a local assignment)

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care and resident assistance with dignity and respect
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs and resident status
• Basic charting and familiarity with electronic medical records is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with residents, families and staff
• Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs on busy shifts
