Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate occupational therapy interventions to help patients regain independence in daily living activities
• Implement treatment plans under the supervision of the OTR, focusing on functional outcomes and meaningful goals
• Perform patient assessments, document progress, and adjust care plans to meet evolving needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic strategies, adaptive equipment, and home exercise programs
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the medical record and communicate changes in condition to the team

Qualifications

• Current COTA certification (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) required
• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Active state licensure or ability to obtain licensure in New Hampshire (facility will confirm specific requirements)
• BLS/CPR certification preferred or able to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced rehabilitation setting with a patient-centered approach

Education

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or related field

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL/IADL training, transfers, mobility and functional task training
• Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and adaptive equipment
• Strong clinical documentation and assessment skills
• Ability to create practical, patient-focused treatment plans
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and regulatory documentation standards
