Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders to improve patient outcomes
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each resident
- Provide therapy services in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting with compassion and clinical rigor
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation to support care continuity and compliance
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate holistic care
- Ensure compliance with facility and state regulations to protect patients and the team
Qualifications
- Active California SLP License (required)
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current BLS Certification
- SNF experience preferred
- Strong communication and clinical skills, with reliable documentation habits
Education
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assessing and treating speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
- Proficient in developing individualized treatment plans and measurable goals
- Excellent interdisciplinary communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledgeable about SNF documentation standards and regulatory compliance
- Ability to engage residents with empathy and clinical confidence
