Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM; every 6th Saturday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (day)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and accurately dispense medications and doses under pharmacist supervision
- Verify medication orders and maintain meticulous records to protect patient safety
- Manage inventory, restock supplies, and handle controlled substance documentation securely
- Assist pharmacists with medication reconciliation and patient counseling support
- Operate pharmacy systems and automated dispensing equipment with care and attention
- Follow facility policies, infection control protocols, and HIPAA guidelines consistently
- Participate in orientation and ongoing training to stay sharp and compliant
Qualifications
- Experience working as a Pharmacy Technician or in a pharmacy setting (previous clinical or correctional experience a plus)
- Active Pharmacy Technician license or certification as required by state or employer (CPhT preferred)
- Ability to pass background and drug screening per facility requirements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety
- Comfortable working with computerized pharmacy systems and inventory controls
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clinical teams
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Pharmacy Technician training program or certificate preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication dispensing and packaging best practices
- Controlled substance handling and documentation
- Pharmacy inventory management and restocking procedures
- Familiarity with pharmacy information systems and electronic records
- Understanding of infection control, patient confidentiality (HIPAA), and safety protocols
- Time management and prioritization in a busy pharmacy environment
