Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe, patient-centered nursing care on the medical-surgical unit
• Assess patients, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate outcomes
• Document care accurately and efficiently in Epic (EOH Epic experience required)
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and monitor patient status for timely interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate continuity of care
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments and discharge planning
• Participate in unit-specific competency testing and Trinity specialty evaluations

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse licensure (License verification required)
• Medical-Surgical nursing experience (unit experience preferred)
• Epic electronic health record experience (EOH Epic experience noted in order)
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• TNCC certification
• NIHSS certification
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and Trinity specialty-specific competency testing

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with Epic for documentation, order entry, and clinical workflow
• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment on a med-surg unit
• Skilled in medication administration, IV therapy and acute care interventions
• Excellent verbal and written communication with patients, families and care teams
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients safely
• Familiarity with Trinity competency processes and required testing
