Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality general x-ray and portable radiography studies across ED and inpatient settings
• Operate fluoroscopy and C-arm equipment to support OR procedures for ortho and spine cases
• Manage a high-volume case load (roughly 20–30 studies/day) while maintaining safety and accuracy
• Collaborate with radiologists, PAs, and the care team for trauma (Level 1) and emergent imaging needs
• Ensure accurate charting in Epic and image handling in PACS (Fuji/Carestream), maintaining documentation standards
• Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain required dosimetry records (agency-provided radiation badge required)
• Participate in department orientation, equipment overviews, and ongoing competency assessments

Qualifications

• ARRT certification (Certified Radiologic Technologist) — required
• BLS (AHA) current — required
• Minimum 2 years of radiography experience (including portable and fluoroscopy experience)
• Comfortable and experienced with C-arm operation and covering OR procedures
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma environment and ability to function under urgent conditions
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled and attend required in-state orientation week
• Familiarity with Epic and PACS workflows (Fuji, Carestream preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong skills in general x-ray, portable radiography, and fluoroscopy
• C-arm operation and intraoperative imaging for ortho/spine cases
• Experience with Epic EMR and PACS systems (Fuji, Carestream) for image workflow
• Familiarity with GE and Shimadzu equipment and typical radiology room setups
• Efficient patient positioning, radiation safety, and imaging quality control
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-paced acute care setting
