Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care by assisting patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing and mobility
• Monitor and record patient status and vital information, communicating changes promptly to the care team
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain clean, safe and comfortable patient environments, observing infection prevention practices
• Document care accurately and timely to support the patient plan and continuity of care
• Collaborate with nurses and therapists to help achieve patient-centered goals and a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential; New Mexico certification preferred
• T-CNA or Travel CNA experience is a plus and will help you hit the ground running
• Comfortable working overnight/night shift hours and weekend schedules
• Current, valid ID and ability to complete credentialing for facility onboarding

Education

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with patient assistance and activities of daily living
• Basic observation skills to notice changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
• Solid infection control practices and attention to sanitation
• Clear, respectful communication with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team
• Dependable documentation of care and the discipline to follow facility protocols
