Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist interventional radiologists and cardiovascular physicians during procedures, ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency
• Prepare and maintain imaging and fluoroscopy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes promptly, collaborating with the care team to deliver excellent outcomes
• Maintain sterile technique and procedural room readiness, including instrument and supply management
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in the electronic health record
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Communicate clearly with patients and families to explain procedures and provide compassionate care

Qualifications

• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• License/certificate verification as required by the facility (state credentials)
• Completion of accredited Radiologic/Interventional or Cardiovascular Technology program preferred
• Successful completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist as required
• Fit test, drug screen (Trinity 10 panel), and required immunizations/health screenings (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, Influenza, 2-step PPD or IGRA, physical/health statement)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to work under procedural pressure with attention to detail

Education

• Associate degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or related allied health field preferred
• Completion of an accredited IR/vascular tech program or equivalent clinical experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with interventional radiology and cardiovascular procedure workflows
• Proficient in operating fluoroscopy and other imaging equipment safely
• Solid understanding of sterile technique and infection control
• Comfortable with patient monitoring and basic emergency response
• Experience with procedure documentation and electronic health records
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate team needs
