Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care in accordance with facility policies
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered and monitor patient responses
- Perform routine assessments and record vital signs accurately and timely
- Collaborate with RNs and the interdisciplinary team to support continuity of care
- Complete Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist as required
- Maintain clear, professional documentation in the patient record
- Follow infection control protocols and support a safe clinical environment
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Successful License/Certificate Verification prior to start
- Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
- Ability to pass required health screenings: fit test, respirator evaluation, 10-panel drug screen, TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA), and required immunizations
- Reliable communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent vocational certificate
- Ongoing continuing education as required by state licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and observation skills
- Medication administration and documentation accuracy
- Familiarity with infection control practices and PPE use
- Comfortable with electronic medical records and charting
- Good time management and prioritization in a dynamic clinical setting
- Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
