Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and meet daily nursing needs with skill and heart
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, following physician orders and facility policy
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and status; report changes promptly to the care team
• Document patient care thoroughly and clearly in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient education to promote recovery and safety
• Support a positive environment for patients and families through clear communication and empathy

Qualifications

• Current LPN license valid in Virginia (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• Minimum clinical experience in a similar setting preferred (no specific years required in posting)
• Ability to work day shifts and commit to every-other-weekend coverage
• Up-to-date immunizations, negative TB test as required by facility, and willingness to complete background checks

Education

• Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent and active LPN licensure in Virginia

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and vital sign monitoring skills
• Medication administration and documentation proficiency
• Comfortable with electronic health records and clear charting
• Good communication and teamwork skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
