Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to outpatient patients
• Perform focused assessments and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and escalate concerns promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
• Complete accurate documentation and maintain strict infection control practices
• Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and skills validation to maintain proficiency

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Iowa) or eligibility to obtain state licensure — license/certificate verification required
• BLS certification (required)
• NIHSS certification (listed in required certifications)
• Comfort with medical-surgical nursing practices in an outpatient setting
• Willingness to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing, Trinity Skills Checklist, and Fit Test
• Ability to pass Trinity 10-panel drug screen and required immunizations/health screenings (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, TB testing or IGRA, physical/health statement)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong fundamentals in medical-surgical nursing and patient care
• Skilled in patient assessment, triage, and clinical decision-making
• Knowledge of infection control practices and outpatient safety protocols
• Familiarity with specialty competency testing processes (Trinity workflows)
• Effective communication and teamwork skills with patients and staff
• Comfort performing routine outpatient procedures and documentation
