Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care: assist residents with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and report changes in condition promptly
- Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics
- Document care accurately and communicate updates to nursing staff and interdisciplinary team
- Maintain infection control practices and a clean, safe environment for residents
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families, promoting dignity and comfort
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or similar settings helpful
- Ability to work night shifts (Friday–Sunday, 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM)
- Local to Albuquerque, NM (LOCAL ONLY)
- Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and teamwork mindset
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of patient care and ADLs (activities of daily living)
- Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Infection prevention and safety protocols
- Accurate documentation and basic electronic charting
- Time management and effective teamwork in a busy care setting
