Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation and positioning to promote comfort and mobility
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
• Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe patient environment
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families through clear communication and empathy

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) — required
• Active CNA certification/license in the state you will practice or eligibility to obtain it
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs, resident transfers, and basic clinical tasks
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• CNA certification (completed state-approved program)
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Foundational knowledge of patient care routines and infection control
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and team members
• Basic charting skills and ability to follow care plans
• Attention to detail, reliability, and a caring bedside manner
