Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Monitor and record vital signs and resident status accurately and promptly
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility support to reduce fall risk and improve independence
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and the nursing team to support great outcomes
- Maintain accurate resident documentation and follow facility policies and infection control protocols
- Support a positive environment by observing resident needs and reporting changes to nursing staff
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state required) — bring your pride in hands-on care
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus but caring attitude and reliability matter most
- Ability to work scheduled evening shifts including weekends
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-first mindset
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and assistance with ADLs
- Measuring and documenting vital signs accurately
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Basic infection control and wound observation
- Clear communication with interdisciplinary care teams and families
- Comfortable using electronic or paper charting systems
